Training Course Recap: Web Dev 101 ππ
On February 24, 2023, I had the pleasure of conducting a month-long training course on the fundamentals of web development and how to build your own website. This exciting journey was undertaken with the esteemed instructor, Ms. Ru'ya Nyaz, and catered to a group of 30 eager learners, spanning over 12 sessions, each lasting two hours. Here's a quick rundown of the course content:
- Session 1: HTML π
- Covered the HTML language, website structures, links, lists, and tables.
- Session 2: CSS π¨
- Explored essential CSS properties, and classes, and introduced Bootstrap.
- Session 3: Designing a Simple Website π₯οΈ
- Hands-on experience in designing a basic website.
- Session 4: JavaScript π§©
- Delved into JavaScript variables, data types, operators, conditionals, loops, functions, and arrays.
- Session 5: PHP and MySQL π»ποΈ
- Introduced PHP and MySQL, covering the basics of both.
- Session 6: Advanced PHP and MySQL π
- Explored advanced topics, including PHP sessions, cookies, exceptions, and MySQL stored procedures, relationships, and subqueries.
- Session 7: Final Project π
- Concluded with a final project: connecting a simple website design to PHP and MySQL, and creating a basic user content control module.
- Session 8: Deployment and Version Control ππ
- Discussed uploading the final project to a server, introduced Git and GitHub, and covered Git fundamentals.
